The number BEST shows you is the number you would pay. Not the nightly rate before fees, not the headline that grows at checkout.

What the total includes

• The nightly rate for every night of your stay.
• Cleaning fees, which are charged once and not per night.
• Local visitor levies collected by the municipality.
• Any length-of-stay discount, applied automatically.

Every one of those lines is visible on the stay page before you go anywhere near a booking. You can expand the total and see exactly what makes it up.

What is not included, and why

• Tunnel tolls, which reach you through your car rental company weeks later.
• Landowner access fees at walks such as Sørvágsvatn.
• Ferry fares, which are paid to the operator.
• Meals not stated as included.

We list those separately rather than folding them in, because they are not ours to charge and pretending otherwise would make the total less honest, not more.
