Two minutes from the car park to the viewpoint, which is why it appears on every itinerary and why the small car park is full in the middle of the day.

Until the tunnel opened in 2004 the village was reached only over the mountain on foot. The old postal path is still walkable and almost nobody uses it.

Getting there and getting in

Transport

Bus 300 reaches Gásadalur infrequently. Most visitors drive through the tunnel from Sørvágur.

Access

No fee. Parking is very limited.

Season

Year-round. The fall is heavier after rain and blows backwards in strong wind.
